The following applies to capella 2008. For the newer version capella 7 (in distribution since May 2010) you may find the corresponding Information here.
Using sheet music editor programs is difficult for blind musicians, because the notes are usually rendered using a special music character font, which cannot easily be interpreted by screenreader programs. This is also true for capella. This website is maintained by Bernd Jungmann, free software developer for capella-software.

Download Documentation
Short description:
This script is an "internal" capella script and can therefore be run with the demo version of capella
professional.
The script shows a window with an edit field containing
a description of the note object at the cursor position. This
description may be read aloud by a screen reader or routed to
a Braille display. Also graphic objects and texts linked to the note are shown, but
lyrics syllables cannot (yet). There is no Braille-translation (yet).
It has been created independently from
Cursor_Location and has a similar application domain.

4. braille-view-window
Download
Short description:
This script is an "external" capella-Script and can only be run with the licensed version
capella professional.
This script is derived from Braille-view. It routes the Braille-translation of the capella voice
in the capella stave, which is indicated by the cursor, to a new popup text window,
so it can be read directly on the Braille display. If there are lyrics verses belonging to the
voice, they are shown on follow-up lines in the text window.
Correction Dec 21th, 2008: Texts attached to the page (title, composer etc.) are no longer put out.
Correction Apr 8th, 2009: Display of voice number corrected (was always displayed as 1, although
the contents really belonged to the voice at the cursor)
